 Kelvin Grove VillageThe village is situated within an exciting new precinct known as the ‘Kelvin Grove Urban Village’, with extensive retail, dining, cultural and educational facilities for guests to enjoy. All of the buildings and facilities at the Village are new with the Village opening its door’s in January 2008. The building has high quality furniture and fittings, and has been architecturally designed and chosen to create a relaxing and stylish atmosphere within each apartment for guests to enjoy. Further more to compliment its surroundings, the new Village incorporates benchmark Environmental Sustainability Design (ESD) initiatives. Kelvin Grove Village is conveniently positioned just outside the main entry at Queensland University of Technology, Kelvin Grove. A short 10 min drive into the city CBD or a 20 minute bus trip will take you to the city centre where you can visit the Bank’s sandy beach or spend some time at The Queensland Art Gallery, followed by dinner and drinks at the ultra trendy Fortitude Valley. facilities on siteUrban in design the village offers an outdoor courtyard fitted out with new furniture for all guests to enjoy. Your group is welcome to use the area for a break in the sun or a drink in the courtyard. These areas are shared by all guests and can also be made available for private functions. Shared spaces are ideal for registrations or a chill out area where groups can get together to watch a movie on the flat screen TV, conduct group activities, or relax with a book and a cup of coffee. All shared spaces are equipped with a variety of technology and contemporary furniture for your enjoyment. The Business Centre is equipped with a variety of technology and has computers set up in an ergonomically sound environment for your enjoyment. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is accessible by security access to all village guests upon request. The Wine & Tapas Bar located on site offers a mouth-watering selection of tapas combined with a superb wine list. This is one restaurant not to be missed. BBQs can be arranged for your group upon request. We have set menus or can customise a menu for your group. Lose yourself in the aroma of mixed arabica and robusta coffee beans at our very own espresso bar. The café is already a hit with the local uni students and staffers so be sure to drop in and experience it for yourself. Broadband Internet can be accessed from most of the village’s rooms or from the on-site Resource Centre/e-library. The village staff will assist you with all your internet requirements. Coloured feature walls, smart furniture design, large size kitchens and tiled bathrooms ensure that all apartments and common areas within the Village provide a refreshing experience for your groups accommodation needs. The multiple bedroom apartments have been designed perfectly for you! They allow you privacy with individual lockable bedrooms, some apartments have semi-private outdoor areas + balconies. The apartments are also quite spacious allowing you to comfortably socialise and relax with other guests.
